**Avalokiteśvara** (Sanskrit: Avalokiteśvara) is a symbol of compassion and wisdom in Buddhism. It plays an extremely important position in both Mahayana Buddhism and folk beliefs. The name of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva means "observing the sounds of the world and awakening sentient beings" or "observing freedom". She is a great bodhisattva who is led by compassion and is regarded as the foundation of Mahayana Buddhism. Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva has different incarnations in different Buddhist schools, such as Lotus Hand Bodhisattva, Horse-headed Avalokitesvara, White-robed Avalokitesvara, etc. In Tibetan Buddhism, she is called "Chenrezigwangchug" and is the incarnation of the Dalai Lama. Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva's great compassionate vows and bodhicitta are for the sake of bringing peace and happiness to all sentient beings and accomplishing the path of all sentient beings.
